ABOUT us
The Virginia Tech Women’s Rugby Club was founded in 1992. Since its founding, we have made it our mission to represent Virginia Tech and the Hokie nation by engaging in competitive play and community service. We stress leadership, hard work, and team unity, which has allowed up to compete and succeed at the highest level of play possible.
We compete in the Blue Ridge Conference at the national Division 1 level. Our 15s and 7s teams both face off against nationally-ranked teams and continue to exceed expectations. We are a dual-season sport without tryouts and welcome athletes of various backgrounds. Off the pitch, we are actively involved in the community, supporting various causes throughout the New River Valley and Blacksburg community.
